- Six Andragogy Elements
Pedagogy has come to mean “how we teach,” which in some cases is influenced by how students learn. Andragogy is often described as a theory of how adults learn, but it actually refers to how humans learn, once they have passed the developmental point where they know the language, stories, and cultural norms of the society they inhabit. Once you can walk and talk, know nursery rhymes and folk tales, and get the jokes told in your neighborhood, advancing to andragogy is a good idea.
